</div>I'll try to clean up the stuff. I have working patch sets but currently<br>
only up to Firefox 31. Nowadays I'm quite time constrained and do not<br>

Before I start doing the update and split I'm just wondering if the<br>
overall approach of relying on an external commandline IPC component<br>
like kmozillahelper is acceptable or not. As written in many places I<br>
don't pretend that this is a nice solution but it works in most cases<br>
and nobody came up with another/better solution.<span class=""><font color="#888888"></font></span></blockquote><div><br></div><div>I'm not sure what kmozillahelper is, so I can't comment on this.  Do you use it to IPC into other processes or is this for Firefox itself?  We have our own IPC system these days so in the latter case you should probably consider using that.<br>
