Thanks Benjamin,

I added firefox-dev to from list, right?

May be if I tell you what I'm want to do, you can tell me the correct way?

There was a hidden pref, which I used. And even many tutorials from internet tells use this pref, because it makes closetab button more usefull (for some users). Now this pref was completely removed, and there is now different position of this buttons (on each tab). So it's broke user experience for those users who used this pref. It's told that nobody used this pref. I want to check, if significant number of users used this, or it was just me.
Currently I'm interested in telemetry data about browser.tabs.closeButtons usage. If you could do that that will be great.
I am not going to do that, but I can show you how to do it if you'd like to write a patch.

I don't know how telemetry works. Is it possible to add new telemetry measurement into current stable firefox installations?

You could do that in an extension. Otherwise no, it has to be built in to the tree.

The preference is now removed. Therefore telemetry which compiled in binary release use source code where is no such pref, and cant be measured it, right? If I make an extention (addon?) I must propagandize users to install it and measure if they use this pref or not, right? In both ways it looks that I cant know how many users affected of removing pref.
