For example, when a user attempts to execute a Silverlight module, but they have an out-of-date Microsoft Silverlight plugin installed, Firefox will helpfully display a notification to the user that they are attempting to use an out-of-date plugin and that they really should update it. But how does Firefox know what is the current version of the plugin?<br>
