<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi all,<br><br></div><div>I'm this year gsoc student and a big fan of firefox. In the metalink[1] ideas page I saw this "implement native support for firefox" idea and thought it would be pretty useful for firefox users and it is a big deficiency that firefox doesn't have this feature implemented already since many download tools have implemented metalink support. (DownThemAll!, curl, wget, KGet, GetRight, Free Download Manager, etc.) So I contacted Mr.Anthony<<a href="mailto:anthonybryan@gmail.com">anthonybryan@gmail.com</a>> and he agreed to help me out if I can work on this project but later Mr.Paolo pointed out that it is a very big project and will be too large for a gsoc project, but if I really want this to be done then start with a mini project instead.<br>
<br></div><div>So this "HTTP Digest header verification using metalink for downloads" was his idea and I thought it will be a great start. And we also created a feature page[2] for this feature. And in the Brainstorming page[3] I add this as a new idea. but still unable to find a mentor for it, unfortunately.<br>
