Right, it's still available in the regular menu, but that's hidden by 
default on Linux and Windows > XP.

Recently closed windows/tabs are also in the history subview in the 
panel menu. They make up the top part. It's true that it's not styled 
ideally yet, there's a bug on file for that where you can follow along: 
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=928843
