+1, again.

Although this is only a minor convenience since you can do something like 
text.replace(/[-[\]{}()*+?.,\\^$|]/g, "\\$&"), the list of special 
characters is subject to change. E.g., if ES adds /x, whitespace (and 
possibly #) must be added.
