Precedent-wise, other languages have a variety of meanings for "eq",
"neq", "ne".
"ne" means "not lexicographically equal" in perl, and "eq" means
"lexicographically" equal.  JSP uses "ne" and "eq" as aliases for "!="
and "==" respectively.
I think cold fusion used "neq" and "eq" for the same.
