Ah! I've missed that!!!

I've re-check all the stuff, and i confirm that. The two extensions
that appear to work if 'system installed'/sideloaded was simply
installed (probably for a test) *also* in my user, and was simply lying
around. Sorry to all for the mistake.

So, seems that in this TB go a bit ahead of FF.

So, seems that the only way to install extensions in TB is:

1) install at profile startup/upgrade in /distribution/extensions
(still works). Easy, but extensions are not maneageable (eg, user can
deinstall it).

2) use policy.
I've just tested and i can add policy via direct registry editing (as
Chrome; but in Chrome is a documented even if deprecated feature), so
for now i've solved, but it is a bit hard to do different configuration
for different (set of) machines with a single 'policy.json' file... the
configuration system have to do direct in-file editing, and is a lot
easer to simply 'readup' a bounch of file in a folder...

Is there any reason you're not using group policy?
