Hello,

our company is developing full web software for municipal
libraries.

Our application works in HTTPS but must access an RFID plate via a
web service which works in HTTP only.

With Firefox 45 ESR, it worked fine.

With Firefox 68 ESR we get the following message when connecting
from our application to the web service of the deck in HTTP:

Platinum config init: RfidNedap: Rfid Config => proxyService:
urlService: http: //localhost/nedaprfidwebservice.asmx cnx chain:
192.168.4.71 formatTag: 513 rfid-4.1.26.js: 23: 11
Blocking of a multi-origin request (Cross-Origin Request): the
"Same Origin" policy does not allow consulting the remote resource
located on http: //localhost/nedaprfidwebservice.asmx. Reason:
CORS request failed.

Is there a way in Firefox ESR 68 to allow this connection over
HTTP?

For information, the request does not also work on Firefox 68.0
but works correctly on Firefox 72.0.

Why doesn't it work in Firefox 68?

Have a good day
