[Mozilla Enterprise] Policies.json does not work anymore after installation of Snow Inventory Agent

Yes, when service „Snow Inventory Agent” is stopped, they install an extension:

                               "installation_mode" : "blocked"
                }
}

The funny fact is, that they even do this when the service is stopped during uninstallation!

Thanks for the information, that starting with ESR 78.9 GPO and policies.json can coexist

Yea, as Dimas says later, this is fixed with Firefox 87 and Firefox ESR 78.9. GPO and policies.json coexist.

I'm curious as to what exactly they are doing in policy? Installing an extension?

Unfortunately their windows-client writes a value to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox when the service is stopped.
Subsequently policies.json does not work anymore.

We informed the company and asked them to dismiss this behavior but they ignored us.
Can somebody “Mozilla-Official” contact them to change their product?
