Totally understand, and appreciate the feedback.

Basically what we (and Chrome) have discovered is that the GPO format is
not very effective for things that are nested or that need to have an
unlimited number of children.

By switching to embedding JSON, it allows us more flexible.

Note that we do it better than Chrome though, because Chrome requires you
to have it all on one line :)
