Is possible set the " browser.cache.disk.capacity" by GPO? I couldn't find
it in admin templates v2.01

Hi,

not totally ESR only but it seems with 78 the system language packs I'm
installing on a system to make Firefox multi-lingual are not picked up
correctly anymore. At least they are not shown anymore in the addon manager.
So far I just dropped them into firefox/browser/extensions and had
autoDisableScopes set to 3. That used to work for ages now. I do not
find any reference what might have changed or what is required now.

Any hints?

Thanks,
 Wolfgang

Hi Team,

I am testing the 78.0.1ESR and found that
"browser.cache.disk.parent_directory" by GPO still not working... Any clue?
This was reported since 68.3.0ESR version.

Is possible set the " browser.cache.disk.capacity" by GPO instead? I
couldn't find it in admin templates v2.01

Victor,

This should actually work on the ESR, just not anywhere else:

https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/10/31/firefox-to-discontinue-sideloaded
-extensions/
https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2020/03/10/support-for-extension-sideloading
-has-ended/

If that's not the case, let me know and I'll check into it.

My recommendation, though, is that you put them in the
distribution/extensions directory. Note they have to be named the same as
the ID of the language pack.

So for instance:

langpack-de at firefox.mozilla.org.xpi

This should be future proof.

Mike

I spent a lot of time on this pref and unfortunately it can't be set easily
via GPO because of how early it's needed in startup.

I'm still investigating other options.

Yes, thank you!

I was looking to find EOL for ESR 68 - If I am reading that schedule
correctly, it appears to be 2020-09-22 when 78.3 is released.

David

Mike,

You posted this (early edition) link recently, but I lost it. If you think
it's ready for public dissemination, do you mind posting it again?

Sure:

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/firefox-enterprise-78-release-notes

They are also linked from the official release notes.

Going forward, there will be an enterprise specific readme for each release.
