Background updates will honor existing update update preferences and
enterprise configuration for the install so you won't lose this control.

Note background updating will be triggered through the Windows Task
Scheduler [1], which will execute a component within Firefox's install (the
updater) so technically we're not turning anything over to the operating
system here related to updates. (Aside from the downloading through BITS
I've mentioned previously.)
