[Mozilla Enterprise] Error message with autoconfig and Firefox ESR 68

Dear Mike,

same problems after modifying the cck2.cfg with a firefox 52.9 esr and cck 2.4. I opened the console (“Shift+Ctrl+K”, right?) but sorry, I am not familiar with it and I don’t know what you need..
What do you need to know? What should I copy?

The CCK2 Wizard has to be installed in Firefox 52 as it is a legacy extension.

You build on 52 and the package generated should work with 68.

If it doesn't, check the javascript console after the startup error and let me know what it says.

my CCK2 was on 2.4 before and was installed on 9th july. Check already your site then there was version updated on 12th and now it was 20 min ago updated.

Tried to install it in 68.0esr but Firefox says “could not be installed seems to be broken”.

CCK2 will always need to be updated for ESR updates (and most Firefox releases).

Firefox changes under the cover and your files need to be updated.

I've released a new CCK2 that has Firefox 68 compatibility

Firefox 68 will be the last ESR that supports CCK2, so I strongly recommend moving to policies (and letting me know if you need things that aren't there).

profile wizard was starting after changing from 60.8.0 to 68 – this isn’t normal
plus
on 60.8.0 my profile was set to restore last session at start which was not set after change

no deeper look into it until now but this is enough for a first look ☺

used MSI installer for v68, Exe for 60.8

Hello,

I just tried my autoconfig file (CCK2 Wizard 2.4) with Firefox ESR 68 and I get the following error message:

"Failure when reading the configuration file. Please contact your system administrator."
("Échec lors de la lecture du fichier de configuration. Veuillez contacter votre administrateur système.")

Is it related to sandboxing or something ?
What should I do ? Disable it in autoconfig.js ?
