Yes, everything in the template is backward compatible. Firefox 60 should just ignore the new policies/fields.

There are two policies that were changed internally.

For RequestedLocales, I created a separate entry policy for the new version that uses a string.

For SantizeOnShutdown, I still set the old values so Firefox 60 will work.

we use FF 60.8 ESR for all devices yet and config mostly via GPO.

Now I want to deploy 68 ESR to some special key users/devices in advance to test their sites and applications.
And I want to update GPO templates to the latest release. But the same GPO is active for default and special devices.
Is there any conflict waiting for the users of 60.8 version? Is everything in the template backward compatible?
