[Mozilla Enterprise] proxy.pac on Mac

What type of proxy server is it? Depending on how it handles authentication there are more options available to set in the config that might work.

Also, do they have a Kerberos ticket from the domain or not?

Maxmilian,
did you try to use IP instead of domain name "oda-sweb.optadata-gruppe.local" in your pac file? Maybe DNS translating problem on mac.

we use some Apple-devices in our company (iMac, Macbook) that should use our proxy server from now on. Unfortunately the configuration with our proxy.pac does not work. No password request appears. The Mac uses it's default gateway to go to the internet instead.
Configuring the proxy manually in Firefox (with IP, port and exceptions) works. But we want to use the proxy.pac.

We are using mozilla.cfg to configure the proxy:
pref("network.proxy.type", 2);
pref("network.proxy.autoconfig_url", "http://172.17.100.119/proxy/proxy.pac");
These settings (and all of the other settings) are applied but the proxy does not work.
The address 172.17.100.119/.<http://172.17.100.119/>.. is working. Firefox can download the proxy.pac from the source.

The proxy.pac looks like this:
return "PROXY oda-sweb.optadata-gruppe.local:8080"
It works perfectly fine on all of our Windows machines.

Firefox on Mac does not even apply the proxy.pac when it is stored on the local machine (no difference between loading it manually in the settings or setting it via mozilla.cfg).

Can you help me with this?
