We were discussing sync-fest in a meeting recently, and :rfeeley<br>
mentioned that it's hard to test the sign-in confirmation flow during<br>
a sync-fest, because we usually use a newly-created account and those<br>
accounts get special treatment in the sign-in confirmation logic.<br>

As of yesterday, it's possible to test this by using specially-formed<br>
email addresses.  It's a trick we've been using in dev for a while,<br>
but it has now been enabled in production as well.<br>
<br>
If you sign up with an email address matching "<a href="mailto:sync.%2B@restmail.net">sync.+@restmail.net</a>"<br>
(i.e. any restmail address that starts with "sync") then you will be<br>
forced to go through the sign-in confirmation flow on every sync<br>
login, missing out on IP profiling and other tricks we've added to let<br>
regular users skip this step when it's safe to do so.<br>

Please try it out next sync-fest and see if it produces any new results!<br>
