<div dir="ltr"><div>Hey,<br><br></div><div>tldr: join us on irc in #storage and tell us about your projects that need cloud storage.<br> <br></div><div><br></div><div>The marvelous French team (Alexis, Mathieu, Rémy) is building in 2015 some APIs to store data in the cloud under your FxA account. </div><div><br>2 projects so far are gradually moving under this "Cloud Storage" umbrella project: Loop and Reading List - and we're lurking at more projects around Mozilla.<br><br></div><div>Our 2015 goal is to provide a useful set of HTTP APIs along with a JS client so people can store data (whether it's records or files) for their client without having to worry about the FxA plumbing and sync basics, and picking a storage API or service.<br><br>The Cloud Storage project is use-case driven:  so far we've designed a specific service for each project needs and use our generic HTTP API underneath. We try to make the custom project-specific layer as thin as possible and we're dreaming that one day someone with a new project will tell us: <br><br>  "Marcel, your cloud storage API is perfect - we're using it as-is. Now pass the wine". <br><br>But the devil is in the details, so.. <br><br></div><div>Anyways, please come to our new public channel, #storage and chat with us.<br><br></div><div>Cheers<br></div><div>Tarek<br></div><div><br> <br><br><br></div></div>
