Great. I can attend the Tues 10am orientation. Is there anywhere specific we need to meet? The space is quite large.

1871 MoCo Update:

Members:
I'm finishing up the last of the paper work and I have listed the following people on the Moco Associate membership. If there is anyone who hasn't voiced interest, but would like to be included, please let me know. I can add your name.

    * Gemma Petrie
    * Kumar McMillan
    * Lars Bergstrom
    * Joe Petto

Orientation:
We all need to attend an orientaiton to use the space. They have regular orientations at 10:30 AM on Mondays, but I have a weekly conflict during that time. I will be going in for orientation on Tuesday, March 11 at 10 AM . Can anyone join me? Please note, we will not have access to the space until after this orientation. If you'd like to set up an alternate time for an orientation, you can get in touch with their Membership Coordinator, Josie Pike, at josie at 1871.com .

Thanks! Looking forward to this!
Gemma

Hey Robert - I think MoFo already has an associate membership, which should confer the same benefits to you already. Can the MoFo folks confirm this? Based on this understanding, I did not include the MoFo headcount in our MoCo application request. I am happy to modify that if I've misunderstood something... as the primary point is co-locate with other Mozillians :)

I set-up the shared calendar and added you at your foundation email address, Robert. I will change it to your gmail address this afternoon.

Thanks,
Gemma

Awesome! I'm here there now!

What does associate membership provide? Do you think that we could share some of the benefits? WiFi, printing, key cards, storage, etc?

What ever happened to that 1871 google cal? Please invite me at rfriedman81 at gmail.com , it'd be cool to know who was there when!

Cheers,
Robert

Great news, Chicago MoCo!

Robert Middleton has approved our request for an associate membership at 1871. I've submitted our application to 1871 and will report back when I hear from them, hopefully within the week.

If any of the MoFo folks visit 1871 this week, feel free to put in a good word for us :)

Thanks Dan.

I sent Robert an email about a group membership at 1871. I'll keep everyone posted.

1871 has lots of small phonebooth style rooms, and a signup system for same.

As I mentioned before, after some fairly extensive research I was only able to find one space that would entertain a "part-time" membership (Design Cloud). Would anyone be interested in pursuing that space? Any other ideas?
